Individual Therapy
At New Ground Therapy, individual therapy focuses on helping clients navigate the challenges that can come with life, relationships, and personal change. Sessions may center around anxiety, depression, managing stress, women's issues, major life transitions, or feeling uncertain about what comes next.
Therapy may also provide space to work through difficult decisions, understand patterns that may be keeping someone stuck, and gain greater clarity around what is wanted and needed moving forward.
Grief/Loss Therapy
At New Ground Therapy, grief and loss counseling recognizes that loss can take many different forms. This may include the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, divorce or separation, a major life change, or the loss of something once hoped for or planned.
Grief can affect many areas of life and may bring feelings of sadness, anger, uncertainty, loneliness, or a sense of not knowing what comes next. New Ground Therapy provides support in processing these experiences, making sense of the changes they bring, and finding a way to move forward while honoring what has been lost.
Grief and loss work incorporates therapeutic approaches and psycho education that can help clients understand the grieving process, navigate difficult emotions, and adjust to life after loss.
At New Ground Therapy, couples therapy focuses on the patterns and experiences that can create distance between partners, as well as the things that can help rebuild connection. Couples may come to therapy because they are struggling to communicate, experiencing ongoing conflict, feeling disconnected or lacking intimacy, or trying to work through a loss of trust.
Couples may also seek support following an affair or other relationship rupture. New Ground Therapy incorporates Gottman Method techniques to help couples better understand their patterns, communicate more effectively, strengthen friendship and connection, and work through difficult issues such as trust, intimacy, conflict, and emotional disconnection.
