About New Ground Therapy
New Ground Therapy is dedicated to helping you reinvest in yourself.
Life can leave you feeling as though the ground beneath you has shifted. Grief, anxiety, relationship difficulties, major life changes, and the weight of caring for everyone else can make it difficult to feel connected to yourself or confident about what comes next.
You may need support nurturing the ground you are currently standing on, pulling weeds that have kept you stuck, or planting new seeds for the life you want to build. Wherever you are in the process, you do not have to navigate it alone.
At New Ground Therapy, you will find a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, better understand what you are experiencing, identify practical steps toward meaningful change and create a more stable foundation moving forward.
Meet Sarah Davidson
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Grief/Loss Counselor who works with adult and older adults experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, depression, women’s concerns, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.
I understand that grief is not limited to the death of someone you love. Grief can also follow the end of a relationship, changes in your health, the loss of a role or identify, family conflict, caregiving, aging, or realizing that life has not unfolded the way you expected.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I use Cogntive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, grief informed care, and psycho education to support you with developing tools you can use outside of the therapy room. When requested, Christian faith and values can also be thoughtfully incorporated into our work.
My role is not to judge you or tell you who you should become. It is to support you with helping you recognize what is already within you, gain clarity about what needs to change, and take manageable steps toward the life you want.
You do not need to have everything figured out before you reach out. You only need a willingness to begin.
